The family at the TA Ranch is here to celebrate our Danish and Nordic heritage in an epic festival to burn away the old year in the cleansing flames of our Hringhorni funeral pyre! With games of savagery, skill, craft and a feast of meats, mead and song. This will be a day to be remembered in Valhalla….
Tickets may be purchased before or at the event. Team sign up and registration will be completed at the front desk at the event.

Transportation runs from 10 am - 10 pm Saturday. There are three pick up / parking locations

Nordic Games
TO COMPETE
Compete individually or as a tribe or maybe some mercenary vibes?! All persons will compete individually. Individual scores are tallied as apart of a Tribe or Mercenary group. Come as a tribe with 5 members or decide day of to network and band together as a Mercenary group. Tribes and Mercenaries will compete in the Tug-of-War. To win in an individual category, all individuals must make an attempt in every event, excluding the polar plunge. Every individual competes within their own class based on gender and age. Awards for best individuals in class in each event as well as Ultimate Viking for individuals who rank high in every category. Awards for best Tribe / Mercenary group who will be our reigning champs until next year.

You have 2 minutes to lift as many rocks as possible. The weight of rocks are as follows 90 lbs, 120 lbs, 140 lbs, 190 lbs. Finals round are by class and timed event.

You have 2 attempts to throw the caber log as straight as possible while trying to achieve a complete 360 vertical rotation. Scoring is determined by accuracy and straightness, not distance.

You have 3 attempts to reach your top weight. Final Round is based on weight and number of reps.

Bet on yourself. Get to your top weight. Get three chances to determine how much weight you want to carry. 100 ft there, 100 ft back. You get one 5 sec chance to set down and return. Finals round is based on weight carried in class.

The Hringhorni
After Loki killed the God Baldr, the Gods burned his body on his ship the Hringhorni. This is legend in mythology is the origin of the funeral pyre. The Hringhorni was known as the greatest of all ships. The TA will symbolically burn it own Hringhorni to bringing in the New Year and an end to the Winter Solstice.
