Can I bring my pet to the TA Ranch?

No. For the safety of our stock and your pet, we do not allow outside animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc.) on the property. The TA Ranch is a working cattle ranch, which means that we have very large livestock guardian dogs that are expected to protect their stock and the property.

To help circumvent any issues with allergies, sanitation, and safety, we ask that you leave your pets at home! Thank you for understanding.

What should I bring with me on my stay?

Wyoming is a very dry state. Be sure to bring lotion, lip balm, and SUNSCREEN! Along with those necessities, bring a hat, sunglasses, and clothes that you feel comfortable getting dirty.

If you are planning on horse back riding with us, bring long pants (prefereably jeans), shoes with a substantial heel (boots), and a hat that has a way to be cinched down (to prevent it flying off and spooking horses). We also highly recommend wearing long-sleeve SPF shirts when you are planning on being out in the sun for more than an hour.

Does the TA Ranch have Wifi and Cell Service?

Yes! For guests staying with us, Wi-fi is provided throughout the ranch and most guests have great cell service while staying on the ranch.

Do you provide meals at The TA Ranch?

Yes. All meals are included in the rate of your stay. Breakfast is available to our guests in the Cookhouse every morning from 8-9am. Lunch and Dinner are also available to all guests. Dinner is a Chef’s Table style and menus will be sent out when guests book their stay. Each night will be different and can accommodate any allergies guests may have.

What homesteading classes does The TA Ranch offer?

The TA Ranch offers hands-on homesteading classes as part of its all-inclusive stays. Guests make their own butter, cheese, and honey, and can try goat milking — activities suited to all ages. Classes take place on a working 1880s Wyoming homestead alongside cattle work, gardening, and farm tours.

What is the difference between a guest ranch, a dude ranch, and a working cattle ranch?

A guest ranch hosts overnight visitors and provides lodging, meals, and activities; a dude ranch is a guest ranch centered on horseback riding and the Western experience; and a working cattle ranch actively raises livestock as a business. The TA Ranch is all three — it raises cattle on roughly 8,000 acres while hosting guests for an all-inclusive Western experience.
